[EU] Pyramid blanket - Fringe
“Pyramid is a memory of volcanoes scattered around the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Each iconic in stature, they are like vessels that cradle forests, fields and rivers, creating a bowl of lushness. Mountains are what stay standing as weather changes and people come and go. Where there are mountains, be held.” – Karina Seljak
This Seljak blanket is a luxurious, durable blanket for adventuring and homemaking, and everything in between. Because each blanket is made with offcuts reflecting the production run before it, they may vary slightly in colour and texture.
Seljak started in Australia, reusing waste fabrics to create their blankets, with a dream to move beyond. This blanket is that realisation. Sam and Karina Seljak investigated the waste textile sources in Europe and finding the most sustainable way to reuse this waste. They also investigated and found an ethically run mill in Lithuania to create these beautiful blankets.
The Lithuanian mill is 92 years old with Italian machinery that produces very high quality recycled textiles and intricate designs. After visiting the mill, a 3rd party textiles sustainability specialist conducted an independent audit of the facility to ensure environmental protection measures and workers rights were both up to the high standards expected in Australia.
The colours of both sides of the blanket opose each other, so you can have two colour palletes for the price of one (see images).
This Seljak blanket is a soft, lighter-weight blanket suited to cool breezes. It can be used as a throw for the couch and the bed, for outdoor dining or taking to the moonlight cinema. Each blanket is made with reclaimed textile waste, combining factory floor offcuts of 16 mills around Europe.

Care for your blanket: Because this is a naturally antibacterial product, the easiest way to clean your blanket is to air it out by hanging it in the sun ( plus it's environmentally friendly). Spot clean dirty marks and spills with lukewarm soapy water. If necessary, machine wash at maximum 30 degrees with a wool wash and hang dry. Reducing machine washing extends your blanket’s life and reduces energy and water consumption."
